Had a few requests recently, for a photo of Cy's left eye
so here it is. Doesn't look too bad really. I've been keeping close watch, making sure he eats, and the missing eye doesn't seem to impede him.
sorry bout the dirty finger nails lol I've been digging in the dirt this morning :)

Looks like nature is taking its course and it should be ok. They adapt very good.

In that pic it almost looks flattened there on the side of his face, like his face was pressed against the shell while forming?

Very interesting. I wonder if that could happen from jiggling, moving or indenting the egg after growth starts.

Lucky little guy to have a caring keeper, I'm sure he'll be a fine handsome tort.

i have a little one eyed boxie that i got this summer from a man who hatched his turtle eggs out in his attic without a light and just making sure they were kept humid. the little dude is small and spunky and i actually think he may be totally blind (his one eye looks a bit off). he's made it thus far - i'll keep my fingers crossed for both lil dudes :)
