I was wondering if any if you knew if my baby torts shell that has a dent in it will stay dented forever? The breeder wrote on her shell with a paint pen and he dented her shell, I've tried to take a pic but can't get a good one of it.

Poor baby! I'm sorry her shell is dented!

He also said she was a hatching and she was two months old, i dont know she measured at 2" when I got her 2 months ago now she's "4mths." he had yearlings for sale too, I think he sold me one of those instead of a hatching bc he wanted to make a sale. Not that it matters I'd just like to know her real age, he said he couldn't keep track of how old they were bc they hatched at diff times, well you already branded her with a two you can't just write down when she hatched next to the number you gave her. on a piece of paper lol.

Len said:Mineral oil applications around the paint may help separate it from the shell, and yet it may not, but it's worth a try, it wont hurt the tortoise.Peanut butter is also full of oils that are not harmful, and it will stick to the shell so the oils have time to soak in.She is a very nice looking girl. Good Luck

I wish mine would bite my toes and fingers!
Masin said:Yea really! I wish I knew our girls age too but the shop we bought her at gave me a guess and couldn't answer me when I asked where they were from
Now you have a truly unique girl! I hope the paint comes off soon for you and her both.
