DSCN2633.JPG DSCN2632.JPG DSCN2346.JPG These are pictures for anyone who thinks Sulcata belong in the desert. This maybe is a bit extreme that they don't, but this is 2 yr old Sam, and his morning routine, the part anyway where I took pictures......
I like the wave he creates when he's swimming. AND, I only open his doggie door. Then he goes to the pond, climbs over the cinder block fence put there for box turtles, and he takes himself a swim. It's awesome!

He looks like a character. Do the boxies mind him intruding?

So you're saying he has his own yard, fenced in by cinderblocks, but when you open the door to let him out of his night house, he goes to the cinder blocks, climbs over and has his morning swim? I guess you'll have to be making another pond especially for him.

Yes, and no. He has access to the whole yard. The cinder block fence is to keep the box turtles in the pond area. So he climbs over the pond fence that keeps the box turtles in. Has his morning swim, then about noon I bring out the box turtles. The water now seeps out since I fell on the cement bottom. So it's clean water added all day. He only goes for one swim in the morning, but since I started closing his doggie door so he has to stay outside, he never goes over the pond wall again during the day. Just that once in the morning.
