I snapped a few mor shots of Eloise in her indoor enclosure this morning before she had a chance to..eh hem!! Clean herself up.

Notice the little spot of testudo mix starting to grow in? I wanted to see how easy it grows in there and the results are a bit slower than in the fish tank but still successful she will notice them soon..but they've had almost a week to grow this much I expect less than a week more before she discovers them and shows them down! lol

Breakfast was a bit of spring mix and some collard greens.

She's very cute. Those greens growing won't see to many days.

Perhaps you could grow them in small pots or containers and rotate them in and out, submerged in the soil, as they get eaten?

Yes I have this going too, but I want to entice her into exploring in there more and the potted ones are still growing too so I thought this would be a short term solution. so far she hasn't even noticed them yet probably because I am still feeding her but once they get bigger I will skip a day and see how much damage she can do lol.

UPdate....She has not "found" the greens she has growing in her enclosure yet!!! I guess they will have more time to grow...I did pick her some dandelion greens (no flowers yet they haven't grown in) and some of the tortoise seed greens I have growing in a fish tank in my kitchen she was super excited after her soak yesterday for the dandelion greens so I picked her some more this morning and I'm sure she will be all too happy to see me tonight to see if I bring her more!! lol silly little tort!!

Thank you! I hope she's happy...I wonder sometimes especially when she just sits in the corner all day!
