These little fan type weeds (at the top of the photo) have started popping up in our garden beds here in SETX. Are they tort safe? Does anyone know?

It looks like vetch, which is edible, but don't allow it to mold because once that happens it's toxic.

It might also be seedling mimosa.

I'm thinking it might be Partridge Pea. The last part of this blog has some that looks just like it. I am not finding much online about tortoises and it though...

I think you're right, Dawn. Vetch's fronds are further apart and Mimosa seedlings look slightly different too:



The blog you showed says it's good for forage, so if you don't mind it growing in your yard, it's edible.
