This is a 5 x 4' fully insulated, fully waterproof house for my salcuta. Thermostat controlled oil radiator and kane heat pad. My husband built it. Roof is on hinges for easy acccess.

Does it need a door that I can close? I plan on putting strips of rubber across the doorway (like walk in freezer curtains) but do I need an actual door that can be closed up, at night maybe, to stop him getting out. Maybe just for very cold nights? Thanks for your help.

Yes, to keep him in and critters out. But you can just prop up a piece of plywood with a heavy brick.
