This is a two story indoor enclosure. Tortuga goes up and down with ease throughout the day. She has a window half way down that she will stop and watch what's going on. The ramps are removable in case she makes a mess. Every part of the enclosure is accessible and easy to clean. I use the hide on the top floor to place my care equipment. I also feed, soak, and water dish is on the top floor so I can stand comfortably when feeding etc.ImageUploadedByTortForum1390962146.543311.jpg It was all made with scrap wood.

This is when Tortuga goes to bed at night. Everything closes up so the cats can't use it as a litter pan or hurt Tortuga. My hubby used scrap chicken wire to make the lid and side doors. All the lights are plugged in one serge protector so I just hit one switch to turn off the lights. I also empty and clean the water bowl so it's ready for fresh clean water in the am.

Here are pictures with the doors removed. The one on the side slides out and the front one easy lifts up. There are homemade wooden locks to hold it close . I open it daily to spot check and mix up the substrate.

This is the top of the enclosure. The roof of the hide acts like a work table. I use a plant saucer and strainer to spot clean and mix up substrate daily.

Tortuga is half way down her ramps looking out the window, She has a total of 24 square feet with both floors and ramps.

Thank you! I can't take credit my hubby made it all for me . She needed a larger enclosure so he added a second story.

I really like your design!!! How does this work in terms of humidity? It looks like it might be hard to regulate?

I have an adult Russian so I don't need high humidity. You could easy use plexiglass instead of chicken wire if you needed more humidity like for a Redfoot and a fogger. I don't keep my Russian bone dry the substrate on the bottom is deep for her to dig etc. so once a week I add water and just mix it up daily that seems to help keep moisten without being wet.

Thanks everyone!

I would think so depending on the size of each floor. That is the fun of wooden tort/turtle tables you can always add on additions like a house.

I like how you have access to your friend from multiple places. This is a great build. And using scrap wood too!

What is the height between your two levels?

Sorry I missed your post. 26 inches. It was not planned the tortoise table already had legs so we built on to it. It worked out but you do have to factor the incline on your ramps to they can easily go up and down.

Just out of curiosity, how old is your tort?

Tortuga is an adult but I am not sure of the age.

Thanks. I was worried about being able to keep it clean easy and get to Tortuga. Tortuga is clean though and only goes to potty in a certain area mainly the water bowel.
