Dry Shell

I did do searches of previous posts and looked at suggested treatments for dry shells.

I took some pictures of new adopted sulcata. The shell definitely looks dry but there are also worn areas and chipping of the schutes (around the edges and in the middle?) I am not sure correct the humidity is going to help much.

To me it looks like some vitamin or mineral supplements are in order. I am a noob so I might be overreacting.

Any advice would be appreciated.

The worn top is because their enclosure had something at that height that they frequently passed/ scrappped. I suggest you check the enclose height is all clear.
Start daily soaks in a high sided container they can not walk out of to increase hydration they will also mess in the water so plan a water change. Apply a small amount of coconut Oil to the scutes particularly the new growth area. See how that works out.
note: Soaks will depend on weight if your tortoise is heavy or large a child paddling pool or water sprinkler may be considered.
