Dry Skin??

Alrite there, Dogs been doing fine but weve noticed alot of dry skin around her neck and back legs, weve just built an enclosure for her how would i go about keeping it humid in there? Its got a heat lamp in, and i hear these russains like to dig? Weve been bathing her everyday but it doesnt seem to be doing muh good, any ideas??

Russian tortoises and the Gopherus desert tortoises seem to always have peeling neck skin and the areas of scale-less skin on the back legs. This is nothing to worry about. You see it more in very young tortoises, but it is quite common and not harmful unless it peels down to "raw" areas.

You don't want Dog's enclosure to be too humid...just a little humidity in the hide. Some people accomplish this by placing a moist sponge either on top of the hide or somehow attaching it to the "ceiling" of the hide.
