During our soak

This came out of my tortoise this morning during its soak. It’s almost gritty feeling and thick. I feed him mazuri pellets and romaine. Even though he’s stubborn and only eats the romaine. I also provide moistened hay. What am I doing wrong or is this normal? Please nothing harsh.

It's completely normal for torts to pass faeces when soaking. In fact, it's a good sign. Do you soak the pellets before feeding? Could you try varying the diet more? Sorry, what type of tortoise do you have? How long have you had it? Do you know how old it is?

ETA: It's ok, sorry; found your first post; Very young sulcata.
