Can Sulcatas hear?

Also, I have Daisy outside, it just rained and now sun is beaming down. WHY please tell me why would she do in circles trying to find a spot of tiny dog poo we missed scooping???? She found it, backed up and put her butt in it while eating a milk thistle weed [emoji90][emoji217]... I washed her around in warm water then she tried to go back... so I put bricks over it [emoji23] WTH??? IMG_1522362589.615335.jpg

Did the breeder give her steroids [emoji15]
Nope, just a typical baby sulcata, aka- trouble in a temporarily small package.
About the hearing- I don't think they hear the same way we do. The "ear" is not shaped like ours and though it picks up the vibrations of sound waves they don't get "processed" the same way.

Thank you! I was worried for a while there! I just finished poo patrol in the back yard :)

Well, they DO have a tympanic membrane, so my guess is they don't hear crisp, clear sounds like we do, but they do hear in some sort of fashion.

At least she doesn't eat the poop, I recently adopted a new sulcata who is 4 years old and he hunts down all the dog poop we missed and eats it.
