I switched my hermann's to a 50/50 coconut and play sand mix today and they are eating it!! Ugh!! Is this bad???..and what do I do now?? They have been on cellsorb their entire lives almost and never ate or even showed any interest in eating that as a substrate.
Do you think I should have not switched them?
Please help, worried mom here.:(

They act like it is some kind of great treat, it is crazy!! Has anyone here ever had this happen when you switched substrate?? The female who is most likely WC seems to understand it is not food but my little CB guys are munching on it. I gave them tons of different foods to distract them but they keep eating it.
Do I switch them back to the cellsorb they are used to?? How long should I keep trying to get them used to it? I am so bummed out, I was so excited that they were going to have this great new bedding and they act all stupid:rolleyes:. LOL
