So its simple...

I have heard tortoises can eat eggs!

Is it true?
If yes..can crush my hermann eat them?

What type is best?

Scrambelled, poched, fried, boiled?

Can they eat the shell too?

I have never heard of a tortoise/turtle being fed eggs. I am assuming you mean chicken eggs. my RES do eat the eggs they drop in the water though.

Kymiie, Hermann tortoises do not eat eggs, it would be very very bad for Crush.

Actually "back in the day" (I've been keeping tortoises and turtles since the 70's), hardboiled egg and eggshell was a recommended part of a tortoises diet in some literature. But so was bread soaked in milk! That was then and this is now. Captive tortoise care information has advanced a long way since then and there is no need or logical reason to feed them things like that. While chicken eggshell might have some value as a calcium source there are plenty of better sources and products out there nowadays that do a better job.
I still have all my old books that I've had for years, sometimes on a cold winter night it's fun to sit down and thumb through them when I want a good chuckle!

You can boil (to kill salmonella) egg shells and crush them fine and the tortoises will eat them. I did this as an experiment once. As GBt said, there are better sources!

I feed my Manouria and my Yellowfoot tortoises hard boiled eggs, shell and all. However, grazing, grass and weed-eating tortoises should not be fed animal protein.
