I'm preparing to get a Hermann's tortoise (please correct me if that spelling is wrong). I would like to have it's enclosure made out of the two existing terrariums I have. I have two glass terrariums each with a 36" by 18" footprint. One is 18" tall with it's only access point through a hole in the screen top or by removing that top entirely. The other is 12" tall and has a removable screen top along with hinged front panels that occur 3-4" from the bottom of the enclosure (there is a fixed glass panel below the doors). I want to modify one or both of these enclosures to work for the aforementioned tortoise but without cutting any part of the enclosure. I'm welcome to whatever ideas someone has to make this work. Please provide details if you can but if you just have general ideas, those are welcome too. I would also like some detailed information on how to make a ramp for my tortoise with all the safety features. I've been a lizard and aquatic turtle person in the past but I've done tons of research and am confident in my ability to care for the animal but not how to make its enclosure. Thanks for any help that can be given.
