Does anyone put anything specifically in your boxie enclosures that keep them occupied? Mildred is now in a combined two 54 gallon rubbermaids so has ample space, but seems to bore quickly and climbs on top of her plant, the log-she lately seems as if she is trying to find a way out? She loves to swim so I bought her a X large reptile water bowl-she LOVES it-but she also flipped over twice so I removed it. She does get to go outside during the day on nice days, but with winter approaching I dont want her getting cabin fever on me...any suggestions?? Thanks!!!

For my Hermann, I started using tissue boxes as hides, but it turns out he loves them as 'toys'. He can climb them, romp them, bump them, destroy them and they are replaceable and safe for him. After that discovery, I started throwing in cardboard rolls (paper towel rolls) now and again for him to roll on/climb over/crush. Pretty much anything that can be pushed around and climbed on, slows them down, and is SAFE can be 'toy' :) (BTW, my little dude is an adult and not prone to tipping over, though I do take precautions for that. If you have a baby, I wouldn't do what I just suggested!)

When my sulcatas where small And where housed in side I would throw a red wifil ball in there every now and then. Two would push it but one just had no interest in the ball what so ever

Do you have any rollipolli bugs in there for her? She would love digging for them and they will help to keep the substrate clean.

I like my indoor enclosures to be heavily planted. They enjoy digging around the plants and hiding in them. Obstacles create stimulation or "things to do" which is why you are asking for toys to begin with.
Try and make your indoor set up look like a piece of the outside world!
A leaf litter pile full of bugs to hunt is a good idea, too.

Thank you everyone for the replies! I currently have a very large spider plant in the enclosure, but I will add more this weekend-she does seem to enjoy uprooting it and then lying on it-lol. :D

Spider plants are the best! They can really take the abuse, and make their own babies on top of that! :)

The one redfoot here Goliath is a bit of a rufian....he loves to ram stuff for what appears to be just for fun...so I put a bright yellow whiffle ball in there and you will hear him ramming it all over the place and after awhile he seems calmed down and relaxes, that is until he rests and he then attacks it again....he is really something.

Or, I will place my hand in there and he gets a cheap thrill by the opportunity to ram that darn thing that shows up from time to time each day...lol...

Good Idea-I will get a little ball for her..she just cracks me up when she climbs on top of her log and looks like "Hello! Whats up?" :D She is a holy terror in comparison to my RF Jerry Lee-he is very mellow and laid back..just like kids!! lol
