fall is the best time of year in north east ohio..... sun and color...... last 3 days days lows 44F, 53F, and 35F, the highs been 66F, 61F and 59F full sun everyday........days getting shorter, ground is getting colder, some turtles aren't coming out, some are.......

blanding's turtles have to be one of the most cold tolerant turtles that exist, still act like it's summer....
was 35F this morning , 52F when i took the pics...... the warmest it has been in the last 3 days is 54.......last weekend i picked up any box turtles that were digging in under bushes or in corners, and put them in the leaf pile, i haven't seen any box turtles out this week..... this morning i seen these...
the ground temperature says the eastern box turtles are most likely gone for the year..... we do usually get an indian summer in november there are enough leaves down i doubt any will be coming up...... i have at least another 100 cubic feet of leaves in bags to throw on top as soon as i know winter is here...
i bought two of these , they were on sale i replaced a gallagher M60 and a zareba 5 mile with them.... i've gotten shocked a number of times from various chargers i've had, not pleasant, usually just made me mad, i got shocked by these ones once on my skin, it won't happen again, had me considering my health......
brought the r.p. manni in yesterday, we've had too many nights in the 30's F........... they were dug in in there box, the ground in the box was noticeably warm to the touch....
