Does anyone have experience with feeding lilac and did your tort like it? It's one of the plant that actually can grow and thrive every year in Can so I would like to introduce it.

The tortoise table has it listed as safe to feed both flowers and leaves.

It probably varies from tort to tort. Most tortoises don’t like new foods introduced to them. As good as lilac flowers smell I’d think they taste good. Lol

Yeah they smell so good I've often find myself tempted to eat it. Never did it tho. I'll try next year, if it's not poisonous to humans...

There's a lilac bush in my sulcata yard. He pays no attention to it.

We grew some last summer. The response was inconsistent. It was eaten sometimes, but ignored just as often.

Well it doesn’t look like it’s a popular tortoise food...I’ll try to give her a big flower and see what happens, im sure she at least will be attracted by the color and smell.
