Does it matter what time of the day you feed your tortoise? I am not able to feed mine until around 2-3 pm and I have to wake him up to give him a soak everyday and then after he eats he goes back to sleep. I soak him for about 10 minutes everyday and he eats good. My lamps are on from 8 am-8 pm. It is just a little russian hatchling so I know they sleep a lot, but I was wondering if he would be more active if I fed him in the morning? I have also heard people say that leaving the lights on for 14 hours helps. I have a power sun UVB/heat bulb on 1 end and another uvb bulb on the other for lighting 6 feet long and 2 feet wide.
