I have the seeds for:

- Dianthus
- Phlox
- Petunia
- Stock
- Snapdragon
- Lavender

Are the above edible for my Redfoot? If not, which are/are not?

Dianthus... No

Phlox... yes

Petunia... yes

Stock... No

Snapdragon... yes

Lavender... yes but won't get eaten... but is good as a shelter plant

Thanks for the link Terry. I was just afraid that the link pertains to the African Tortoise. I read in one of the posts or Tortoise books (not sure) that a plant/flower that may work for one type of tortoise may be toxic to another. Hence my apprehension.

So I will grow Phlox, Petunia and Snapdragon

I plan to grow these in a hydroponic system: www.aerogarden.ca

any thoughts?

In general if a flower is safe for one tort species it is usully safe for all tort species, now whether or not they will eat it is another story.

I see you have a RF mine likes hibsicus and mandeville flowers.

If you go to redfoottortoise.com - there is a list of edible landscaping specifically for redfoots.
