Does the reptifogger really work? I am struggling really bad with any kind of humidity when the heat light is on during the day. I have bowls of water, live plants, soak the heck out of it several times during the day. Most of it has plexiglass on it. I tried foil and it heated it up way too much and was still lacking humidity.

So for me, the reptifogger works great. That said, I need to mention I have a fully enclosed habitat.

I regulate mine with a zoomed hygrotherm. With this I am able to control my CHE and my fogger automatically. Works great for me. Temps can change in the room and the enclosure stays constant. I've bought that on eBay as well.

Mine works perfect. If you get one, just use distilled water, it will preserve the life of your fogger. Tap water will ruin it over time.

Thanks for the tip.We have well water so I am sure it would of shortened the lifespan of the fogger so i will take your advice and use the distilled water.

ditto for me on the reptifogger + zoomed hygrotherm combo. i also use the filtered water that comes out of the fridge door. i have read that some people don't like it because it fails sometimes, but for me, so far so good in the past 4 months. fingers crossed that it will continue to work.

A word of advise concerning the fogger. I felt the one quart bottle too small. I fill mine twice a day. So I put a two liter soda bottle on mine. The problem with that is the two liter bottle is softer plastic so the sides sucked in from the vacuum and dumped water all over the stand. I was there when it happened, so I just unplugged the unit and cleaned up the mess, but it could have been a water/electrical nightmare had I not seen what was happening.

My reptifogger works great too, I have seen some really bad reviews on it but I have had no problems. I just make sure to clean mine weekly inside and out. Distilled water is preferred but who am I kidding I am not spending.all that money on distilled water. I was given mine free, used, without a water bottle so im using an arrowhead bottle and refilling 2x daily with tap.

I also tried a two litre bottle originally, that was a big mess to clean up.

I always heard you can use tap water ... Just let it sit for two days before you use it ... Why I don't know!

Letting it sit will naturally dechlorinate the water. Since hes not actually drinking the water I just use tap. There is always calcoum deposits inside after a week, so i fill the resevoir with vinegar and water and scrub it weekly. When I used the same fogger on my crested gecko tank I used bottled water because he would actually drink the condensation water droplets that built up on leaves. If using distilled isnt a problem for anyone, thats the best way to go as it will give your reptifogger a longer life.

I live on a well. My well is all of 850' deep. It's good, clean water that isn't hard, so that's what I use. Some areas have hard water and I'd imagine the build up if deposits would cause problems.

I use the fogger and it keeps humidity great in my cherry head enclosure. I use the closed system though so the heat and humidity stay inside. I recommend a thermostat thought to regulate desired heat.
