I use a reptifogger on my red footed tortoise. If you haven't already purchased the reptile fogger, I would get a standard human warm air humidifier and pipe it to lead to your enclosure. I haven't had any problems with my reptifogger tho, I use distiller water and clean it weekly. They definately help with the humidity. The settings on it are kind of useless tho in my opinion. I just let it run for 10 or so minutes a few times a day.

Ok, yes I purchased it today. Reading all this info on everyone's post has me worried about my 1 year old. I haven't put it in because I need to remove the pellets, I'm going tomorrow to get some coir. Is there anything else you recommend for this turtle Table? We soak them 2-3 times a day. When it's warm and they are roaming I also spray them. I just can't imagine why he went from happy to mom stop sleeping. It's been at least a month

I would really try to build a lid for it somehow. It will probably be difficult, but the end result will be happy torts. A lid will lock in moisture and heat and make it much more manageable to reach the desired temps and humidity. You could get plexiglass and cut holes for the lights. Unfortunately I think a lid may call for you to redo your table so,e what, but if you can do it, I would.
