Getting closer to the plunge, leopard torts?

All right, after reading and reading. I've realized that I don't really want to buy a tort from the place I was going to use. They keep the hatchlings on rabbit pellets and don't provide hides. As well as some other issues. Sucks, as this means I have to find a new rat supplier for my ball. There does not seem to be any rescues in our area, and CL has not shown any promise (I think this is a good thing though, hopefully people are keeping their torts!) Anyways...would anyone care to recommend a reliable source for torts? You can pm me, or name them in this thread. Also, any place you absolutely would never, ever use?

We've had koi shipped from HI, so I know its possible, but I worry about the little guys. Do they really ship okay? I'm in Oregon, anyone know a breeder in my state? I'd love to drive somewhere and visit with a knowledgeable herp person!

Oh, and I'm leaning towards leopard torts, but have to do more research on varieties I guess!
