Glue for Slate

I want to glue slate stones together to make a proper rock hide for my pancake, but I have no clue what glue to use, there are a few things out there like Liquid Nails, but I am still unsure. I would prefer something that is liquid and comes in a squeeze bottle, but i do have a caulking gun if need be. No mortar.

Hot glue gun actually does not work so great at all(tried it on a smaller hide of slate stone, thing could be pulled apart easy and was of concern for me)

We at Shoreline Builders use a "Loctite" ( Brand)...for any stone or veneer applications w/o mortar..
