Good grow at home seeds?

Hi all!

New to this wonderful tortoise world and have one Russian. Just got him a new enclosure and would like to grow some food to plant inside. Any ideas? Also...any ideas on some good, healthy plants/weeds to grow at home for feeding and the best place to buy seeds (in the us)?

Hello and Welcome. You can buy seeds from tortoisesupply.com they are members of the forum. Also, bird seed can be planted. Check out the tortoisetable.org for edible plants, flowers, weeds, etc.

I just bought some white clover and dandelion seeds on ebay. Also wheat grass.

baby lettuce mixes are good: I sowed my outdoor enclosure w/some of these a few weeks ago so it'll be ready for my greek when the weather warms up some.

It will grow quickly. Maybe in 3 to 5 days you will see them sprouting from the soil.
