He looks like a Syrian Greek, Testudo graeca terrestris to me.
When everyone else looks at this and says why isn't it T.g.antakyensis, well . Not to long ago they designated a new type specimen for T.g.terrestris as there wasn't one in any museum. Forsskal visited 4 places where he saw tortoises around 1770, but didn't collect any. Syria was picked for the new type specimen, so that now makes T.g.antakyensis a junior synonym of T.g.terrestris. Just to keep everyone on their toes.
