I currently have a baby red foot in a 36"x16" enclosure. I was wondering if any has done or knows of a good soil/subtrate to grow plants and is good to house a tortoise?

If you have a website tha sells plant seeds or the substrate it would be much appreciated. Or if you just know what kind of seeds or what kind of substrate to use I can look it up myself.

Plain dirt or coconut coir. For seeds, check out tortoisesupply.com. It's a members site.

Moss works well to hold in moisture. Carolinapetsupply has some seed mixes. In my boxie enclosures I have moss, hostas, strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, grape vines, spider plant, red clover, crimson clover, grass, violets, dandelion, mazus repens and many more, just the ones I can think of
