You should get some of the "ooze" but they might turn into Ninja Tortoises so watch out for that....

lol just kidding...but you want the growth to be slow and steady...if you feed them too much and the wrong foods they will not grow properly and may have deformities. I would highly recommend you just be patient and let them grow at a natural pace because before you know it they will be gigantic!

I completely agree with Dan. Slow growth is the best growth.

Don't worry, they grow fast enough on a normal routine. You don't have to go to any lengths to get them to grow faster. What you do to ensure they reach their full potential is provide them with plenty of outside time, sunshine, grazing, exercise and water. That's the formula for a large sulcata.

Ok thank yall i guess i just need to be patient, thats the best thing to do. Theres no reason for me wanting them gigantic just like the way they look big roaming my back yard :)

If you love your tortoises you will raise them in a way that is best for them and that is slow and healthy. You can push growth on them and they will be big and weak and most likely die young...Is that what you want for them?

I agree with the slow and steady growth. This year though, I gave the Mazuri to my tortoises outside to go along with the grass/weeds since there wasn't as much with the cooler temp and they are really growing...but not too much of the Mazuri, as it does have protein. I noticed that once I put my babies outside 24/7, they also grew faster with the environment
