Growth or pyramids?

Hello again,
My little fella is getting bigger and loving munching on the red leaf lettuce and sprouts. I have a hermann, and just want to make sure these lines are growth marks- not pyramids forming. Thanks for the help

looks fine to me! just remember to soak daily and have enclosure humidity high! can u post some pics of his enclosure?

Thanks! I'm just over anxious and want to make sure he is growing STRONG
I put the pellets in calcium twice a week, and plant sprouts regularly. Now that he's inside, I am keeping an eye out for small edible plants to plant inside the container with him.

The initial couple of growth rings look good. The currently forming one is making a large notch though. This is the beginning of pyramiding. Even with damp substrate, a low sided sweater box like that is going to have extremely low humidity, unless the entire room is very humid.

I think you will see pyramiding in the next few months if you continue using that enclosure.

You could cover the top with foil or plastic (even cut up the lid) to keep the humidity in!
