Greg, when you hand feed these giants. Aren't you worried that they will by accident bite your fingers? Or do you think they recognize that biting fingers will harm you?

* Honestly, it is always a concern, however caution is always used! These guys are incredibly strong and have a tremendous bite. They snap a full large size carrot in pieces like it is butter, imagine a finger! IMG_1304.JPG

funny you should say that because i was reading something were a scientist was stating and had proof that the amount of force it takes to bite a carrot in half is enough force to bite a finger off cleanly

Yes I know how it hurts even when bitten by hatchling, especially when they are hungry, they just rush to eat whatever you offer them.
