handling salcataa

i handle my tort alot, I read that it is not good for her...but I dont want her to bite when she gets big.
my husband made her a playpen of grass outside and her profile pic is how a set up her cage this weekend. She eats like a pig also. I am glad I found this forum. :)

Welcome to the forum!
Tortoises get stressed when handled too much. Stress can lead to illness.
Most tortoises don't bite. Even if it was going to bite, I don't think handling would prevent it. What if it caused it? I doubt that too!

tortoises don't bite :D They are usually friendly. I've only been nipped once by my russian, because he though my green nail polish was food :p
I have a sulcata who's owners didn't give her the best upbringing, and he is very friendly and loves to follow me around.
