Hattie finally took some greens from my hand this morning! She has been offered various greens since we've had her, but she hasn't been interested. Today I gave her some Pak Choi, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Is it ok for her to have this in larger quantities? Different sources have different opinions on 'safe' foods! Ultimately I want her to have a healthy varied diet, but need to introduce more to her. She won't touch dandelion, kale or spinach. When we collected her she was on a complete dried pellet diet. They did have greens to eat as well as the pellets. We bought some of the dried food to keep her stress levels down whilst she settled in at home. Should I wean her off the pellets now or let her do it herself when she is ready?

Good you're asking and trying to figure it all out.

Bok choy is not good. A little bit every now and again is okay, but not as a staple; not much, not often. You don't have to pick it out of the spring mix, but don't feed it on its own.

You can't rely on a tortoise to wean itself off its favored food. Many times, rather than go cold turkey, it's best to continue to offer the old food mixed into a mixture of chopped good foods, gradually decreasing the amount of the old food.

Thank you. That makes perfect sense. I think Hattie is going to give me a few problems in the food department! Me and Hattie seem to have different opinions on what is good for her!
