My weekend project was to get my newly adopted Sulcata, Harley, out of his small table he came with & in to something that will help promote health for this 10 yr old rescue. I am a new Sucata mom so please offer any advise on this set up that you have, It is until we can get him an outside space set up here in ohio :)

7x4 feet. New Power sun bulb on the way since I got the "bad, eye damaging, one from petsmart....

He has his moist hide with moss, Big dirt pile in the corner, Cypress & Coir mix with top soil layer on the very bottom. bigger tera cotta water dish ( thanks for that tip!) & random rocks. Also trying to grow some grass & clover in there & happily my yard is infested with Hens & chicks for him to munch on

Not bad. Of course an outdoor one would be better, as you said. Incase he starts pacing and digging at the front, glass area, block it off from floor level and just past where he can see out. If it doesn't bother him, there's no need.

I don't own a Sulcata but glad you adopted him.
Looks good to me.

Love. You are rocking it. So glad you adopted this sulcata and are doing right for him. Other more keen tortoise people may see something but for me, it looks great. I also use a terra cotta saucer, upside down under the basking light. The light keeps them cozy from above and the terra cotta gets warm from below. My little Greeks seem to love it, as do my leopard babies. : )

Thanks. I am really looking forward to starting his out door set up once it warms up.
