Hi everyone, I'm looking to find a captive-bred well started or yearling Russian tortoise. If anyone knows anyone or the places to look. I will take any and all help or suggestions. Thanks!

Good luck in your search, but know that no one wants to put a whole year into a new hatchling and then sell it for the same or less as a new hatchling. The idea is to hatch out your babies and sell them ASAP.

Have been been told that yearling's are hardier than hatchlings? They aren't. Bigger size just buys you a little more time before they decline if you don't set them up correctly. They will still fail if the set up isn't correct, and a baby won't fail at all if the set up is correct.

Here is the correct care info. Most of what you'll find is wrong, and the pet shops will certainly steer you wrong.

Hello and welcome. :)
