we had 2 eggs hatch. no problems. Third egg has head and leg poking out. It's been like that for 2 days. Shopuld we let it come out on its own or give it a hand? Any suggestions?

Some do sit in the egg for a few days... if the hatchling is alert it will do no harm and allows the yolk to be absorbed before coming out completely...

It has been my experience that if you help the baby out of the egg he loses some of his "energy." Having to work his way out, causes him to get stronger. The only help I ever give is to be sure there is no membrane left on the face, as it will dry hard and might cause suffocation.

I agree with Stells (Kelly) and Yvonne. I helped a Greek hatchling out only to find a large yolk sack. Wished I had left it in longer. Learned my lesson with that one from now on unless it is in distress I leave it in egg. :)
