I'm new to the site here but haven't seen much in the Greek tortoise section about head butting. My 2 year greek tortoise will occasionally head butt blankets and also my husband and I. Is this normal? I was told as he matures it's a territorial/dominance thing. Any insight would be great!

Welcome to the forum :D
I have a Hermann's and he has head butted stuff in his enclosure before. Only one though. I freaked out and looked it up and like you said, most posts said it was just them maturing :) but as for my tort doing it, he's only a hatchling so I have no idea o-O

It is normal. He's trying to claim his territory and show dominance. I once put a white bucket on the back patio and my adult leopard head butted it all the way across the patio.

Nothing to worry about, just normal assertive, territorial behaviour, as has been said.
Perfectly normal.
