Hi, everyone,

Just found this forum when seached leopard tortoise on wikipedia. I have three tortoises and two turtles. The one i would like to introduce first here is my first tortoise, the South Asian tortoise, Bentham. He is about 20 cm long and 5 years old. There is a remarkable heart shape pattern on his shell.

A good looking tort, GOD bless.:D

Where do you live? If the climate is a dry one back there, please make sure you give your tort daily soaks in warm water: he/she seems to be pyramiding a little. Read the "Beginners Mistakes Thread" and ask any question when in doubt.;)

Love that heart :<3: on his/her shell. And a very warm welcome to the forum! :tort:

Thanks for the tips. I live in Shanghai, humidity is around 70. My leopard tort is a bit pyramiding, though. Its previous owner keeps it in indoor enclosure with himidity around 50. I am giving it 80 now, hope that would reduce pyramiding.

You are most welcome. :)

I would also spray his enclosure with water every day.;)

Hi Gillian,

He is good, eat a lot. He also peed on my floor this morning. He is more active at night. He is not afraid of me now. He even climb on my arm now. :)
You are lucky-touch wood-torts take long to adapt. Yours seems to have adapted quickly. Great! :D
