Hello, My Horsefield tortoise Shell

Hello, i rehomed sheldon about a month ago, i have recently noticed whilst bathing him that his shell has changed colour and shape, is this normal? i have also found what looks like a split by the top of his neck, there is not blood or any sign of any sort of infection really just after some advice is this normal i am very worried !

Hello and Welcome. The split doesn't look bad, looks quite healthy, I would guess it might be a birth defect or an old minor injury. I would just keep a close eye on it for a little while. As for color change and shell shape changes, can you be more specific?

Barb: What are you seeing that I'm not seeing. Kimberly refers to a split on top of the neck. You can't see the top of the neck in the picture????

Hi Kimberly, and welcome to the forum! I'm pretty sure the color and shape of the shell is ok, however, I'd like to see more pictures to be able to see what you're seeing. This goes for the 'split' too. I don't see what you're talking about.
