I'm a new tortoise owner. Purchased my little guy specifically for my fiance and my kids. So of course I was given the role of caretaker for the little guy I normally raise bearded dragons and take a lot of pride in their appearance and enclosures and overall health. So branching out into tortoises has been a new experience but not a huge drastic change overall. I chose to go with a leopard tortoise because...well I just really loved his shell and attitude and his face. He's a really active little guy especially when he goes outside in his little box to run around in. Indoors he sticks mainly to his hide. He's the first tortoise we have ever owned and really like the little guy a lot
Aside from Zatoichi we have 14 bearded dragons (12 are babies),2 water dragons,a guinea pig, albino corn snake, a Norwegian Forest Cat and a Pug. Wow when I put it into writing we virtually have a zoo
