Hello! My husband and I see experienced turtle owners and have had tiger salamanders and cats. We just adopted a Russian tortoise over the weekend. She needs some serious TLC as her previous owner fed her primarily romaine lettuce and apple's and little else. We are seeing to her diet, got her a larger enclosure, and will be bringing her to our awesome vet to have her beak trimmed. It's super long and I really don't want to do it myself. Maintenance trims and filing I think I can handle. But she is a sweet girl. She seems hungry for more nutritious foods and readily eats spring mix and grazes happily outside in our yard. My son is in love and sometimes had to be told to back off and give her some space. Lol! I'm glad to have this forum!
