Hi. I've just soaked my leopard tortoise and I've noticed that one of his claws is sort of snapped and is bleeding.
I've never seen this before, what do I do?

I've posted this on species specific also but thought it might be better here.

Ooooh that looks painful. I am not sure what to do and hopefully the experts will come along soon. Until then don't let it get Infected and give it a little soak in wam water. I hope this helps.

It's just the same thing as if you were to break your fingernail or toenail off below the 'quick.' It hurts like hell, but its not life threatening. Just use whatever first aid you would have used on your own similar injury.

Okay, thank you for the advice :)
Should I clip off the end of the nail where it's snapped or leave it be?

I would just leave it be. If you mess with it you'll make it bleed more.
