Hi guys, I just relocated my tortoises to a new enclosure 2 weeks ago, they were fine for the first few days, good appetite and quite active, but one of the smaller one started to be inactive and barely move without any sign, not to mention eating, the other larger guy roams around a lot and eat even more than he was in the last chamber.

One day my wife got back from work she saw the small one turned upside down and was struggling (that means he does move when nobody's home), she helped him to turn and left him there, then the tortoise become even more inactive, even when i soak him, he just dive and raise his head for a breath once a few minutes.

What can i do??? i'm feeling I'm losing him!! he hasn't eaten for a week or so, i now soak him every morning with warm electrolytes drink but he just keeps his head under the water. Today I soak him with carrot and plantain blended juice, he kinda react to the juice and walked a few steps, after I rinse him and put him back to the cage he just lie there and rest again.

please please please help, i have bought a ceramic infrared bulb and replaced the day light basking bulb and my best guess is that i hang it too low and the tortoise got over heated. Please help! how long can he last without eating? Please help and please advise!! I can't bring him to a vet cos my colleague has broken both her arm and leg now I work 14 hours a day recently and there's no chance for me to call a leave. I feel sorry for it.... please help....

You need a vet and soon. You also need to separate your tortoises. The larger one can actually "bully" the smaller one to death. They are not like humans and they will not become friends. What electrolite solution? Nothing with sugar, right? And diet sweeteners are even more deadly.

Are you able to let him get a little sunlight? I don't know your location. Post your location and maybe there is a more knowledgeable member who is close to you....

What are your four temps? Warm side, cool side, basking area and over night low?

How was this tortoise started at the breeder's as far as humidity and hydration?

Living as a pair is certainly a factor here and the bigger one should be moved to its own enclosure ASAP.

Thanks! Sunlight works for him yes, almost forgotten. I bought him out a few days ago he did move a little, unfortunately we have a storm coming these few days in Hong Kong, and yes I'm living in Hong Kong, its hard to find a vet expertise in reptiles here... I guess i will start to leave him in my bedroom tomorrow morning for him to have a few hours sun bath. I used to put them in my bedroom but the cage now is too large my bedroom won't fit

it's a small cage so i didn't keep 4 temps, the overall temp is 77 (humidity 50-60), basking area is 105 (humidity 75-80),

almost 99% of the tortoises was kept on (dried corn sand) substrate under fluorescent lamp and fed with lettuce before they were sold, it's sad i know, you guys will probably be super mad if you live here in hong kong. I will separate them tomorrow morning. they are all sleeping now.

I believe hatchlings need an overall temp of 80 degrees with a basking area of 90-100. And high humidity, but I'm not sure of exact percentages.
