Help please. (head scale lifting)

Hi all had my tortoise for a few months he’s eight and settled in well love him I have noticed today one of the scales on top of his head looks raised like it’s lifting off ? Is this normal should I be worried or anything I need to do thanks in advance x

He’s probably just shedding tortoises shed in small pieces at a time, so it can make them look a bit scruffy. If you want to help it come off, you can soak in warm water more frequently

It will look a little gross when/if his neck starts peeling. Just let it alone other than the soaking.
