Please could someone advise me if the back of my tortoises shell should be growing down like this? Also his 'behind' looks rather big, does it look normal? Thank you very much! (just trying to upload pic now)

I'm not an expert on the Mediterranean species, but I THINK a bit of that shape is normal for a male. However, yours does seem to be extreme. Plus the shape of the tail is off. Let's ask @HermanniChris for his opinion. He's great at these these type tortoise. While we're waiting for him to see this thread, can you post more pictures of the tortoise? Top bottom side views?

The shell looks ok but the tail is bent. Can you please post a photo of the entire bottom?
