Hi! I live in Michigan and I would love to keep my year old redfoots outside this summer but I'm not sure how to keep them safe from raccoons, mice, hawks, etc. how do I build an enclosure that keeps them safe? Also, I am in a rental house right now so I cants put in anything permanent.

I'm in ohio and have same problem & I saw an eagle last week too..... I am debating on a big dog kennel with fence type roof while mine are still small. Right now they only go out supervised.

For my outdoor closure I built a woodframe and then put hardware cloth over the top. I have a Russian tortoise so I also put hardware cloth underneath it because they did I don't know if your type of tortoise digs. Hardware cloth is very durable so that should keep most critters out.

I have raccoons here too, but they only come out at night. Do yours come out in the day time?
