Help! Urgent! Abscess?

Im sorry for holding him like this but I just noticed two lumps underneath Kean's mandible. I'm pretty sure these grew recently as I have examined him before and I never saw these. What are these? Do these warrant a vet check up?

Yeah, he needs a vet. Could be a couple of things - a sliver, or a maggot.

They peeled off after I gently pinched them to feel the consistency. Lol. Turns out they are scabs(?) Not sure though. But definitely all ok now
