HELP! (what sex?)

Hello need to know weather my russian tortoises are male or female please help!

Hi Brooke:

Take an 8oz drinking glass and set it someplace with a plain background...like on the kitchen table. Then turn your tortoise over and balance it on its back on the glass. Then stand over the tortoise with your camera so that you are looking straight down at it, with a clear view of the tail. I'm not sure about YOUR camera, but with mine, if I just barely depress the shutter button the camera will re-focus on the subject. Then you snap the picture.

I can only tell you for sure that one of them is female. I'm unable to see the rest of the pictures good enough to know what they are.

My guess is that the first photo is of a male and the third photo is of a female.

That was my guess from the pictures as well. However, would be better if we got a closer look at the first one just to be positive.
