My baby sulcata tortoise Jackie isn't eating...she stays in one place for the longest time and never opens her eyes. I don't know what's wrong with her,can anybody help? Any advice would be great! Thanks
I would immediately start hydrating your baby sulcata
Make sure you soak her at least 30 minutes a day , or more. The more the better she will probably get just make sure the water stays warm and her enclosure needs to be around 80 percent humidity and at least 80 degrees everywhere in the enclosure.
Bulbs are also important if you have her under too powerful of a bulb without any kind of hydration she will become dehydrated and die possibly (hatchling failure syndrome )
This link by Tom tells all about hatchling failure syndrome and how to prevent it http://www.tortoiseforum.org/Thread-Hatchling-Failure-Syndrome#axzz1eqCEP19o
No coil bulbs either or also called compact fluorescent bulbs
The look like this
The long tube fluorescent bulbs are okay but not the COMPACT ones
Pictures of the enclosure and pictures of your tortoise would be very helpful
Keep us posted , I hope she starts to fell better
