I’ve been looking for an adult tortoise to adopt but it’s looking like I’ll need to buy a baby/juvenile.
I have a book case I can convert to an enclosure but it would have to go in my (non temperature controlled) garage. I’m in eastern/central NC, USA.
My question is, should I just go right to the book case in the garage, or create a smaller habitat (like a plastic tote) first, that I could have in my house? I’m pretty settled on the Eastern Hermann’s. What would you do, and why?
