Quick question on treats. Christmas catus, what parts are ok for them to eat? I have read the flowers are a decent treat. Second, what about Jade plants? Read different things about them. I love having house plants and now would like to get some that are ok for a Hermann tortoius', not as an everyday diet but something I can give them once and a while. Yes I have organic, pesticide and fertilizer free soil.

Many of us find The Tortoise Table Plant Database invaluable for this kind of question

According to that both are fine in moderation. The occasional leaf or flower will be OK.

You need to watch out for sugars which your tort can't digest properly. These will be higher in the flowers than the leaves.

Fruit, bell pepper and carrot should all be fed only very occasionally
