Since you are experienced, you probably already know this, but I feel obliged to say it anyway: It is best if you don't mix different species of tortoise in the same habitat. Plus, the Mediterranean tortoises, especially the Russians, like to be alone. They fight when you put them together.

haha i know that but i just bought a huge enclosure off of craiglist the other day! :)

Maybe keep your new redfoot in the old enclosure? I'm pretty sure both of those types of tortoises have different needs as well. Redfoots need a really high humidity level in their tanks 80%-100%. I'm no Russian expert but maybe someone else could help explain what their habitat should be. Also, how big are your Russian and your new Redfoot?

my redfoot is 3-4 and my russian i comparably the same size! what should i do?
